چکیده
A combination of instrumented wheelset measurements and numerical simulations axle bending stresses is used to investigate the consequences evolving rolling contact fatigue (RCF) damage on a passenger train wheelset. In field test campaign, have been monitored using with four strain gauges mounted axle, while evolution wheel tread (out-of-roundness) has measured regular occasions. The signals are post-processed in real time stress variations computed. Based convolution integral approach, out-of-roundness as input vertical dynamic wheelset–track interaction stresses. Simulated compared for cases involving combinations low or high levels rail roughness RCF damage. study enhances understanding how track quality influence amplitudes.

Evaluating Degradation at Railway Crossings Using Axle Box Acceleration Measurements
In this paper, we investigate the capability of an axle box acceleration (ABA) system to evaluate the degradation at railway crossings. For this purpose, information from multiple sensors, namely, ABA signals, 3D rail profiles, Global Positioning System (GPS) and tachometer recordings, was collected from both nominal and degraded crossings. By proper correlation of the gathered data, an algorit...
متن کاملDynamic Measurement for the Diameter of A Train Wheel Based on Structured-Light Vision
Wheels are very important for the safety of a train. The diameter of the wheel is a significant parameter that needs regular inspection. Traditional methods only use the contact points of the wheel tread to fit the rolling round. However, the wheel tread is easily influenced by peeling or scraping. Meanwhile, the circle fitting algorithm is sensitive to noise when only three points are used. Th...
متن کاملAn Ultrasonic technology Study for Subsurface Defect in Railway Wheel Tread
The subsurface defect in the wheel tread caused from Rolling Stock Fatigue (RCF) has become more danger in high speed railway. The conventional UT and phased array UT have deficiency to find the subsurface defect from the tread surface because of limitation of ultrasonic near field. In this paper, the subsurface defect is studied by simulation and experimental results with ultrasonic technique....

متن کاملNon-linear Kalman Filter Estimation for Active Steering of Profiled Rail-wheels
This paper presents a study of state estimation for active steering of profiled wheels. Fundamental characteristics of a solid-axle wheelset are explained and the potential benefits of active steering are discussed. The paper studies the non-linearity of the wheelset caused by profiled wheel-rail contact surfaces and develops a recursive non-linear Kalman filter to provide reliable and accurate...
